First class opportunities now exist to join a specialist site management and nuclear clean-up business. They are currently on contract to the Government's Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and are striving to become the organisation of choice in an ever-competitive market. Their strategy and focus is clear - to deliver accelerated nuclear clean-up programmes, safely and cost-effectively.

Engineers are required to address issues beyond normal UK engineering practices across a broad spectrum of mechanical engineering skill areas such as applied to the design of special purpose and high integrity plant, the design of nuclear ventilation systems, the design of remote handling equipment, the design of containment facilities for nuclear material, and for the design for safe movement of nuclear materials.

Ideally degree level qualified in Mechanical Engineering and of chartered status or working towards it, you will have a mechanical engineering background gained in nuclear, chemical, or heavy industrial environment. De-commissioning / dismantling experience would be advantageous.
